How Industrial Totes Can Help You Organize Your Warehouse

In today's specialized retail sector, industrial totes allow companies to maintain organization while maximizing efficiency. More specifically, industrial totes are generally used for stocking purposes in shops and stores.

These totes - which are sometimes referred to as nest totes - are capable of storing a wide range of consumer goods. Their wide-lipped design, sturdiness, and lightweight material makes the totes easy to carry, lift, and set down during the stocking process.

From a manufacturing perspective, industrial totes easily fit on a conveyor belt, allowing assembly line workers to take materials from the totes quickly and efficiently.

Industrial totes are also frequently used at distribution centers. This is because these industrial boxes, which are constructed out of polyurethane-based plastics or HDPE plastic, protect the product when they are stacked for distribution.

Depending on the tote, industrial containers sometimes have internal dunnage or plastic dividers. On other occasions, totes have nested sidewalls, which enable you to fit the totes inside each other as you stack them.

Besides their sturdiness and lightweight design, industrial totes offer a number of benefits over wooden boxes, metal containers, or cardboard boxes. First of all, cardboard boxes are not particularly durable, especially when they are being carried or moved from different locations. Plastic industrial totes, on the other hand, remain in great condition for years, even with heavy handling.

Metal containers tend to be significantly heavier than plastic totes, while wood-based boxes do not have the same versatility and ruggedness of polyurethane industrial trays.

There are currently a number of different industrial totes available on the market, both used and new. There are, for example, industrial totes made of clear plastic, which makes it easier for retail clerks to quickly determine what a tote contains during the stocking process. On the other hand, industrial totes are also made of different colored plastics that allow for color-coded organization.
